This could be the trip of your dreams, and your chance to go behind the scenes in New York's fashion district. We will meet on Sunday at our hotel conveniently located near the garment district and have a get acquainted dinner. Your guides on this tour will be Marsha McClintock, owner of Sew Many Options Tours, and Marla Kazell. Activities will begin Monday morning with a private half-day guided bus tour to give you an overview of this fabulous city. During the week we will visit designer workrooms and showrooms, have a private showing at FIT's clothing collection and visit their museum exhibit. At the Metropolitan Museum, we will have a guided tour of their costume exhibit. Time will also be spent visiting many of New York's designer fabric and trim stores. An evening at a Broadway musical is planned along with a private tour at Simplicity Pattern Company. You will see New York's most spectacular view from the Top of the Rock; see Manhattan on a Circle Line dinner cruise plus some additional surprises. There will also be free time to explore New York City. This tour requires lots of walking so get some comfortable shoes and start walking. Space is limited to 22 so don't delay.

Guides: Marsha McClintock, owner of Sew Many Options Tours and SAF-T-POCKETS Patterns, is an experienced tour guide and teacher that guide groups to NY, Paris, Hong Kong, Toronto, and Vancouver, BC. Her knowledge, approachable style, and humor will insure your tour experience will be a positive one. Marla Kazell teaches couture sewing and has assisted Marsha on many tours to New York.

You will be responsible for your own transportation to and from New York. We will meet at the Hampton Inn Manhattan (59 W. 35th Street) on Sunday, April 18. Check-in is 3:00pm. Additional information will be mailed after registration telling you where the Sunday evening dinner will be held.

Please do not make flight arrangements until you have been notified that the minimum group number (10) has been met. Please note: We will using mass transportation during the tour. It is important that participants are able to walk a half mile at a moderate pace, plus climb several flights of stairs.

Minimum group size 10, maximum 20. Reserve your place today by sending the registration form along with a 50% deposit of $1047.50 payable to American Sewing Expo. Balance of $1047.50 is due by February 1, 2010. No refunds after final payment unless a replacement can be found. State your roommate preference or we will make every effort match you with a suitable roommate. You will receive a letter confirming your reservation.
