This could be the trip of your dreams, and your chance to go behind the scenes in New York's fashion district. We meet Sunday
at our hotel near the garment district for a get acquainted dinner reception. Your guides will be Marsha McClintock and Marla
Kazell. Activities include a private half-day city bus tour, a visit to a designer's workroom, a private viewing at FIT's clothing
collection and the Metropolitan Museum costume exhibit. We will also visit many of New York's designer fabric, trim stores and a
fabric flower factory. An evening at a Broadway musical is planned along with a behind the scenes tour at Simplicity Patterns. We
will see New York from the Top of the Rock, visit a Project Runway designer's workroom as well as some additional surprises. You
will have free time to explore New York and we will finish the week with an beautiful evening dinner cruise. This tour requires a
significant amount of walking. Space is limited to 22 so don't delay.

Guides: Marsha McClintock, owner of Sew Many Options Tours and SAF-T-POCKETS Patterns, is an experienced tour guide and
teacher. She has led groups to NY, Paris, Hong Kong, Toronto, and Vancouver, BC. Her knowledge, approachable style, and
humor will insure your tour experience will be a positive one. Marla Kazell teaches couture sewing and has assisted Marsha
on many tours to New York. Both are ASG members.

You will be responsible for your own transportation to and from New York. We will meet at the
Hampton Inn Manhattan (59 W. 35th Street) on Sunday, May 16. Check-in
is 3:00pm.
Please do not make flight arrangements until you have been notified that the minimum group number has been met. We will use mass
transportation during the tour. It is important that participants are able to walk a 1/2 mile at a moderate pace, plus climb
several flights of stairs.
Minimum group size 10, maximum 22. Reserve your place today by sending the
registration form
along with a deposit of $300 ($50 non-refundable) payable to American Sewing Guild. Balance is due
by Spril 1, 2010. No refunds after final payment unless a replacement can be found. State your roommate preference
or we will make every effort match you with a suitable roommate. You will receive a letter confirming your reservation.
